2012 Air Force JROTC Academic Bowl

Participate in this FREE Academic Competition and your team may win a chance to compete in the
Academic Championship in Washington, DC! 

To properly participate in the JROTC Academic and Leadership Bowls, you need the following minimum computer requirements:
  1. PC or Macintosh with display resolution set to 1024x768 or higher resolution (you can use a projector or large monitor)
  2. The most current version of your Internet Browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, etc.)
  3. The Adobe Flash Plug-in installed in your web browser GET FLASH
  4. Speakers for your computer and the audio turned on
  5. You need to close all other open applications on your computer (including calculator and other web pages) and have your browser window maximized.
  6. NOTE: If your web browser has multiple toolbars (search engines, etc.) please close them. You can also use F11 to make your Internet Explorer window Full Screen.
  7. Test the computer and display that you will use to view the contest.

NOTES:

  • All units may participate in the Practice Round and Level I.
  • Teams with scores in the top 50% in Level I will participate in Level II.
  • Eight academic teams will advance to the Academic Championship which will be held in Washington, DC.
  • If your school is prone to winter storms and school closings, please do NOT wait until the last day to participate.  Deadline extensions will be granted on a very limited basis.
  • All teams advancing to Level III (The Championship) will be asked to participate in a peer-to-peer tutoring project.  Cadets will prepare a lesson and questions about a subject covered on the SAT/ACT (3-5 hours of prep work).  Teams will also be asked to participate in a voluntary fundraiser.
